Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division 

The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division is one of the most essential administrative divisions in the College of Arts, as it is responsible for promoting comprehensive quality and monitoring academic and administrative performance in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and recognized national and international frameworks. The division works to strengthen the culture of quality within the college, ensure the implementation of policies and procedures that enhance institutional performance, improve academic programs, and support the development of the educational and research environment.

The division prepares developmental plans, manages evaluation files, follows up on accreditation requirements, and oversees performance evaluation forms for faculty members, employees, and students. It also organizes workshops and training sessions aimed at improving educational quality and ensuring the adoption of modern academic standards.


Quality Assurance Unit

The Quality Assurance Unit is the core unit responsible for implementing quality requirements across all academic departments and administrative units in the college.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the implementation of institutional quality standards.
  • Preparing annual self-evaluation reports for the college and its departments.
  • Following up on improvement plans and addressing observations.
  • Organizing workshops and training programs related to quality assurance.
  • Supervising the policies and procedures manual and ensuring it is regularly updated.

The unit aims to achieve continuous improvement and maintain high-quality academic and administrative performance.


Accreditation Unit

The Accreditation Unit focuses on following up on national and programmatic accreditation requirements and coordinating the necessary procedures to achieve them.

Its main duties include:

  • Preparing accreditation files according to approved national and international standards.
  • Coordinating with academic departments to implement program-specific accreditation requirements.
  • Collecting evidence and documentation that demonstrate compliance with accreditation criteria.
  • Coordinating internal and external evaluation visits.
  • Updating development plans related to programmatic and institutional accreditation.

This unit seeks to elevate academic programs to ensure they achieve recognized academic standing.


University Performance Evaluation Unit

The University Performance Evaluation Unit is responsible for evaluating performance levels across the college using standardized forms and assessment tools.

Its primary tasks include:

  • Managing performance evaluation forms for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Analyzing performance indicators and producing annual reports on achievement and quality.
  • Submitting required data to the University Presidency and the Ministry within specified deadlines.
  • Following up on evaluation results and preparing recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting departments in understanding performance standards and continuous development.

The unit contributes significantly to identifying strengths and weaknesses, thereby ensuring institutional improvement.


Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection Unit

This unit is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy academic environment, while also promoting environmental sustainability within the college.

Its responsibilities include:

  • Implementing occupational health and safety regulations across laboratories, classrooms, and offices.
  • Conducting routine inspection tours to identify and address risks.
  • Training students and staff on emergency procedures, evacuation, and safety measures.
  • Monitoring safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and alarm systems.
  • Developing policies for environmental protection and conserving energy and water.
  • Supervising environmental awareness campaigns within the college.

The unit helps ensure a safe, sustainable, and environmentally friendly learning environment aligned with national standards.
