Legal Division
The Legal Affairs Division is one of the essential administrative pillars of the college, playing a central role in ensuring the legality of procedures and protecting rights and obligations within the institution. The division serves as the advisory and regulatory body responsible for following up on all matters of a legal nature, in accordance with the applicable laws and the regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency. The division is tasked with reviewing the accuracy and legality of official documents issued by academic and administrative departments, ensuring that administrative orders comply with relevant laws and instructions. It also provides legal opinions to senior management on various administrative and employment-related decisions, helping ensure that decision-making is grounded in sound legal principles. The Legal Affairs Division is responsible for following up on cases and legal proceedings in which the college is involved, in coordination with the Legal Department at the University Presidency. This includes preparing legal memoranda, providing necessary documentation, and safeguarding the college’s interests before judicial authorities. The division also oversees the drafting and review of contracts, memoranda of understanding, and cooperation agreements concluded by the college, ensuring that their provisions comply with regulations and protect the rights of all parties. Additionally, the division works to promote a culture of legal compliance within the college by guiding faculty and staff on regulations relevant to their duties and workflows. It also handles administrative investigations and disciplinary procedures and documents their outcomes according to approved protocols. The division further performs a supervisory role by monitoring the implementation of official decisions across departments and units, ensuring full adherence to legal requirements, and preparing periodic reports to support the college administration in decision-making.
