Legal Affairs Division

The Legal Affairs Division is one of the important administrative divisions in the College of Arts – University of Anbar, as it is responsible for organizing and following up all legal matters related to the college in accordance with applicable laws and regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The division works to protect the rights of the college and its staff, ensure the legality of administrative procedures, and provide legal support to various administrative units within the college.

It also contributes to handling legal cases, providing legal opinions on various administrative matters, organizing contracts and agreements, and following up on lawsuits involving the college.

1. Lawsuits Unit

This unit is responsible for following up on all legal cases and lawsuits involving the college before courts and relevant authorities. Its duties include preparing legal correspondence, collecting documents and case-related information, and monitoring judicial procedures in coordination with competent authorities to protect the rights of the college and defend its legal interests.

2. Contracts Unit

This unit is responsible for preparing and reviewing all contracts concluded by the college with external parties, including service, procurement, and cooperation agreements. It ensures that contract clauses are legally sound, comply with applicable regulations, and safeguard the college’s rights, as well as monitoring the implementation of contractual obligations.

3. Legal Consultations Unit

This unit provides legal advice to the college’s departments and units by offering legal opinions on administrative matters and issues. It also contributes to interpreting laws, regulations, and instructions, and provides appropriate legal solutions to ensure the proper and orderly conduct of institutional work.
