Library Division
The Library Division is considered one of the essential pillars within the academic structure of the college, playing a central role in supporting the educational and research processes by providing, organizing, and facilitating access to knowledge resources for students, faculty members, and researchers. The division is responsible for managing the central library of the college, which includes supervising the development of the library’s collections, ensuring access to both print and electronic academic sources, and maintaining the quality of information services offered to beneficiaries. The division works on acquiring up-to-date scientific books, specialized references, theses and dissertations, and peer-reviewed journals, in addition to following up on subscriptions to international databases and aligning them with the academic needs of the departments. It also carries out cataloging and classification processes according to recognized systems to ensure the organization of resources and their efficient retrieval. The role of the Library Division goes beyond providing traditional services; it also supports research skills, offers information-literacy guidance, and organizes training workshops on using electronic resources and academic documentation methods. The division strives to create a knowledge-rich environment that encourages reading and research by providing well-equipped spaces for individual and group study, and by updating borrowing and inquiry systems. Additionally, the division contributes to documenting the scholarly output of faculty members by tracking published research and making it available within the library. It also supports research projects by directing researchers to suitable sources and responding to requests from both inside and outside the college in accordance with established regulations. Thus, the Library Division stands as a key component in building knowledge within the college, serving as an effective link between users and scientific resources, and contributing significantly to enhancing the educational process and improving the quality of scientific research at both the college and university levels.
