The Faculty of Arts Council at the University of Anbar held its fifth (open) session for the academic year 2024–2025 on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, chaired by Prof. Dr. Aref Abdul Sa'il, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by council members and department heads.

The session addressed several key topics, including:

1.     Follow-up on the progress of the SIS and HRMS programs within the framework of the digital transformation plan adopted by the Faculty, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the university presidency.

2.     Final preparations for the first-round exams for postgraduate and undergraduate studies (first stage), with emphasis on preparing the necessary administrative and technical requirements.

3.     Follow-up on the implementation of the research plan and encouraging publication in global repositories, focusing on increasing citation numbers for published research.

4.     Discussion of the plan to host international lecturers under the "Visiting Professor" program, with identification of the actual needs of the departments involved.

5.     Presentation of the statistical analysis results of the first-round exams for the second, third, and fourth stages, identifying weaknesses and proposing practical solutions based on real data.

The session saw active interventions from department heads, focusing on the development of the educational environment, improving the outputs of academic programs, and concluded with a review of the remaining agenda items and the adoption of appropriate recommendations.
