On Thursday morning, February 19, 2026, the Faculty of Arts Council held its fifth open session, chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Aref Abdul Sayel Al-Ami, and attended by the council members.

During the session, several academic and administrative issues on the agenda were discussed. The council reviewed the directives of the University President and the mechanisms for their implementation in line with the faculty's strategic plans. The council also discussed the internationalization of the faculty through activating joint supervision with Malaysian universities, supporting international academic cooperation and expanding scientific partnerships.

The council also addressed the formation of research teams to enhance teamwork and high-quality scientific output, as well as activating community service studies to solidify the faculty's role in serving the local community. The importance of organizing extracurricular activities and volunteer work to develop students' skills and refine their personalities was also emphasized.

In the context of academic development, the council discussed updating the graduate studies curricula to keep pace with scientific advancements, in addition to monitoring the integration and stability of international students within the university environment.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on following up on the implementation of the recommendations and decisions presented, thereby enhancing the quality of institutional performance and achieving the college's academic and educational goals.
